Integrated Coastal Management (ICM) Workshop

In line with the DENR and this Local Government Unit’s thrust to promote the sustainable development of the municipality’s coastal and marine environment and in order to achieve food security, sustainable livelihood, poverty alleviation and reduction of vulnerability to natural hazards while preserving the ecological interest, the CRM Service of the DENR in coordination with this Local Government Unit, initiated an orientation/ workshop on Integrated Coastal Management (ICM) and Coastal and Marine Water Zoning Planning Process. This activity was conducted last May 8-9, 2014 in Escuela Pia, Taal, Batangas. Barangay Captains or their representatives attended and participated in the said workshop. Preparation of Draft ICM Plan is on- going while the second consultative workshop is scheduled on the 2nd week of July.
